PILOT REFERENCE · SOURCE-BOUND

RULES START WITH THE CONTROLLING SOURCE.

This page is an index, not a substitute rulebook. The controlling club, landowner permission, current site briefing, applicable airspace, pilot limitations, instructor or observer authority, and conditions at launch control the day.

CHECK THE RIGHT SOURCE BEFORE EVERY FLIGHT

Do not rely on a remembered rule, old printout, favorable forecast, QR code, membership, or recorded check-in as permission to launch.

DAY-OF-FLIGHT SEQUENCE

This sequence organizes verification; it does not decide that flying is safe.

  1. Open the site's current Flight Deck and identify the controlling club.
  2. Verify current access, closure, landowner, rating, briefing, supervision, and airspace requirements.
  3. Review weather evidence, then compare it with actual launch and landing-zone observations.
  4. Contact the current coordinator or controlling-club channel when any requirement or status is unclear.
  5. Complete required check-in or roster steps. A recorded check-in is never permission to fly.
  6. Do not launch when authority, access, evidence, conditions, equipment, supervision, or personal judgment is unresolved.
